Camp Idunna is an event for children and their families.
This gathering is geared towards the children of our community, but also towards parents.
At Camp Idunna, we do things kids love at campouts - roast marshmallows over a fire, sing songs, do artwork, etc., with a Heathen slant. Our main ritual is geared towards children, our artwork is Heathen themed and we sing Heathen songs. This is a Heathen festival that parents not only want to bring their children to, but where the children will have as much fun as the adults!
This is a gathering where we parents can spend time teaching our kids about religion, can hang out with other parents, can discuss challenges unique to raising Heathen children, and can relax knowing their chidren are in a safe environment.
This is also a gathering where kids (and their parents!) can feel comfortable yelling "Hail Freyja" when the mood hits them, where they can learn about our religion, and where they can relax and have fun with families who believe like they do.
Camp Idunna is fun for the whole family!
